The interior of the new Forester presents a striking balance of modern design and contrived appearance that is not only exciting to look at, but also blends in harmony that creates an overall ease of use and increased functionality. A highly functional secondary display is conveniently placed above the instrument panel and delivers car vital information at the push of a button. An 8 speaker Harman/Kardon 440W audio system delivers exceptional audio quality. Other entertainment features that come as standard on the Forester XT 2.0 include steering wheel mounted audio controls, a Bluetooth compatible hands-free system, USB and auxiliary audio input option and a reverse camera system.
The seats, steering wheel and gearshift knob are wrapped in leather. 8 way adjustable power seats come as standard on the XT 2.0 Forester variant. also standard are tilt adjustable steering wheel, paddle shifts, adaptive cruise control and aluminium foot pedals. The rear seats split in a 60/40 configuration to offer additional storage space for carrying more luggage.
The XT Forester comes with power windows, smart key-less entry and push button start ignition system, a 12V power outlet, power tailgate, 4 cargo hooks and a retractable luggage cover. The interior also offers nicely tucked away storage options with ample door pockets, center cup holders, sliding armrest, seat back pockets and a center tray with a lamp. The exterior of the Forester 2.0 XT model features an aggressive looking sport design front bumper with a mesh grille and chrome-rimmed fog light bezels that distinguish it from its other model variants. Subaru offers eight color trims available across the Forester range.
A redefined exterior offers a range of functional features including redesigned headlights with auto on/off feature, pop up headlamp washers, front and rear fog lamps for improved visibility, Power adjustable and retracting side mirrors, UV protection windshield and front side mirrors and a large power sliding glass sunroof. The XT Forester rides on standard 18 inch alloy wheels that couple with Subaru’s Symmetrical All Wheel Drive system to deliver the power to the ground. Also standard on the XT Forester are roof rails, rear spoiler, roof antenna and twin muffler exhaust tips.

A horizontally opposed, 4 cylinder, turbocharged, DOHC 16 valve petrol engine powers the Forester XT 2.0 and is capable of about 177kW of power and 350Nm of torque. It is coupled to a well refined lineartronic CVT transmission, a combination that delivers great fuel economy at no compromise to performance. Subaru’s renowned Symmetrical AWD drive system delivers power to all four wheels and comes as standard across the range.
An exclusive 3 mode SI Drive (Subaru Intelligent Drive): Intelligent mode, sport mode and sport sharp mode is available for the XT Forester with the 2 mode SI Drive option available for the other variants. It brings added capability to the Forester, when engaged it takes control of the engine, transmission, AWD, braking and other driving components to safely navigate the most challenging of terrains. Vehicle Dynamic Control comes as standard across the range.

A set of standard 4 disc braking system brings that reassuring braking feel to the Forester and include Anti lock braking system with electronic brake force distribution for maximum braking force in case of an emergency.
The boxer engine features horizontally opposed cylinders that lower the vehicle’s center of gravity thus adding extra stability to the vehicle. The Boxer engine and transmission are designed to break away below the cabin in case of frontal impact as opposed to conventional configurations that crush into the cabin.
