Autofocus: 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Peak Edition Unveiled
Volkswagen of America, Inc. is thrilled to unveil the 2024 Atlas Peak Edition trimline, the latest addition to its lineup, making its debut at the prestigious New York International Auto Show. Drawing inspiration from the captivating Basecamp Concept showcased in 2019, this edition features distinct body cladding elements that impart a robust overland aesthetic. Complemented by black-out detailing and an exclusive interior palette, the 2024 Atlas family reaches new heights in style and functionality.
Setting the Peak Edition apart, the front facade exudes a rugged charisma with silver underbody cladding and an eye-catching front fascia. A sleek gloss-black “X” design, reminiscent of the Atlas Cross Sport, spans the lower fascia, adding a touch of sophistication. Accentuating the blacked-out grille are two chrome strips that gracefully extend on either side of the illuminated logo, distinguishing the Peak Edition models from their Atlas counterparts.
Exploring the side profile, a prominent gloss-black badge graces the front quarter panel, proudly displaying the Peak Edition logo in a vibrant combination of orange and chrome. The Atlas’s versatility is enhanced by the inclusion of eighteen-inch black alloy wheels fitted with 255/60 all-terrain tires. Visually reinforcing its rugged appeal, the side sills in black and silver add a robust touch. The black-out aesthetic extends seamlessly with black mirror caps, window surrounds, wheel arches, and roof rails, creating a striking profile.
Moving to the rear, a black tailgate strip seamlessly meets a rugged black and silver diffuser, adorned with chrome exhaust bezels. Avocado Green and Pure Grey inject a sense of individuality into the Atlas family by introducing fresh exterior hues exclusive to the Peak Edition models.
Inside, the Peak Edition models showcase a distinctive interior design inspired by the logo colors. Titan Black leatherette is elegantly paired with light grey accents, complemented by vibrant orange contrast stitching. The dash and door inserts boast a black metallic check pattern, setting the Peak Edition apart from the rest of the Atlas family. The steering wheel clip proudly displays the logo found on the exterior badging. At the same time, ambient lighting with 30 color options harmonizes with the innovative backlit dash décor featuring the “Peak Edition” inscription.
The introduction of the Peak Edition trimline marks a significant addition to the 2024 Atlas lineup. Further details about the entire lineup will be unveiled closer to its anticipated launch this summer.
