Land Rover is expanding the allure of the Discovery by introducing two new special editions: The 2016 Land Rover Discovery Landmark and Graphite. Both editions boast distinctive exterior design enhancements that elevate the overall aesthetic of the fourth-generation Discovery. Additionally, the Landmark edition incorporates unique interior touches, adding a layer of luxury and exclusivity to the driving experience.
These special editions not only enhance the on-road presence of the Discovery but also offer a heightened level of comfort. Available for ordering starting from the end of October, these editions will grace the roads from January 2016 onward.

LANDMARK
The Discovery Landmark builds upon the generous specifications of the HSE derivative by introducing new interior and exterior features that provide customers with a more premium and distinctive appearance for their Discovery.
Externally, the upgrade showcases full-length roof rails in a bright finish, emphasizing the iconic stepped roof design of the Discovery. Black fender vents, grille, and mirror caps, in contrast with silver bonnet and tailgate badges, along with Landmark badging on the side and rear, contribute to the model’s unique identity. The design is completed with 20-inch 5-split spoke alloy wheels.
The Landmark edition offers a limited range of five exclusive body colors, including the unique Zanzibar, reserved solely for this edition and not available on any other Discovery. The remaining four body colors comprise Waitomo Grey, Santorini Black, Yulong White, and Indus Silver.
Interior refinement is elevated within the Landmark, featuring Windsor Leather seats and the Extended Leather Pack throughout, adorning the dashboard, door casings, and fascia. The interior palette is deliberately restrained to three colorways: Ebony, Almond, and Tan. The Tan option is a first for Discovery, presenting Tan Windsor Leather Seats complemented by Ebony door casings and fascia, along with a Straight Grained Walnut veneer trim finisher.
Customers can further personalize their Landmark with a choice of standard and optional steering wheels, including options like the Grand Black Lacquer or Straight-Grained Walnut Wood & Leather steering wheel.
GRAPHITE
The Discovery Graphite enhances the achievements of the Black Pack by introducing a contemporary and standout aesthetic to the model range, characterized by striking finishes. Noteworthy features include a grey Graphite finish applied to the fender vents and grille. The grille also incorporates a gloss black and lighter grey frame, seamlessly integrating with existing grey accents on the door handles and Discovery badging on both the bonnet and tailgate. An exclusive feature for the Graphite edition is the 19-inch 7-split spoke alloy wheel, presented in a high gloss dark grey as the standard offering.
Customers have the flexibility to choose from a diverse spectrum of nine body colors, allowing for personalized exterior expression. Furthermore, interior customization is available with a selection from three distinct colorways.
EFFICIENT TECHNOLOGIES
The optional Land Rover InControl Apps seamlessly enhances the Discovery’s existing infotainment system, delivering unparalleled in-car connectivity. This feature integrates compatible smartphone apps into the vehicle’s touchscreen, providing users with the convenience, familiarity, and original look and feel of their preferred apps. From finding parking spaces to streaming favorite music or locating nearby hotels, the customer can control and access these functions directly from the vehicle’s display.
Standard features include the acclaimed Terrain Response® and Hill Descent Control drive technologies, ensuring optimal and responsive driving across diverse terrains. The Discovery offers a choice between a single-speed transfer box or twin-speed, with the latter providing high and low-range options for the most challenging off-road conditions. Optional Wade Sensing™* technology alerts the driver to deep water, enhancing the vehicle’s capability to navigate various paths.
Consistently recognized as a top towing vehicle by The Caravan Club in the UK, the Discovery boasts a towing capacity of 3,500kg. To support this capability, Trailer Stability Assist comes standard, aiding in trailer hitching, while optional Tow Hitch Assist provides additional assistance during the positioning of the vehicle. Safety features such as Blind Spot Monitoring, Closing Vehicle Sensing, and Reverse Traffic Detection further enhance driver assistance on the road.
With a spacious 7-seater configuration featuring stadium seating and a substantial 2,600-litre stowage capacity, the Discovery adapts to the changing lifestyle of its owner. The versatile interior, variable seating, and a range of practical accessories ensure premium comfort without compromise. The split tailgate and height-adjustable air suspension facilitate easier loading and unloading.
The Discovery continues to prioritize power and all-terrain capability, offering efficient diesel and petrol engine options coupled with fuel-saving Stop/Start technology and a refined ZF 8-speed automatic transmission. In key petrol markets, the 3.0-liter V6 Supercharged engine generates 340PS@6,500rpm (250kW) with 450Nm of torque and combined CO2 emissions from 269g/km, achieving a fuel consumption of 24.6mpg (11.5 l/100km). The 211PS (155kW) 3.0-litre TDV6 serves as the EU6 diesel engine entry-level option, delivering 36.7mpg (7.7l/100km) and a CO2 figure from 203g/km on a combined cycle. The higher-powered 256PS (188kW) 3.0-liter SDV6 provides equivalent fuel consumption and CO2 figures.
