Nissan has officially revealed the latest iteration of the GT-R for the Japanese market, introducing two distinctive editions: The 2024 Nissan GT-R Premium Edition T-spec and the 2024 Nissan GT-R NISMO Special edition. Anticipated to hit the market in the upcoming spring, the 2024 models will be accompanied by the NISMO variants, scheduled for release in the summer.
Built on the product concept of “evolving toward ultimate driving pleasure,” the Nissan GT-R continues to solidify its standing as a premium sports car. These new models represent a significant advancement in achieving an optimal balance between speed and ride quality. Ashwani Gupta, the Chief Operating Officer at Nissan, highlighted the pinnacle status of the GT-R R35, attributing it to the incorporation of a new grille design, cutting-edge technologies, and exquisite craftsmanship in the latest models.
The latest models boast enhanced aerodynamics and a heightened focus on ride quality. While maintaining horsepower, significant efforts have been invested in minimizing noise and vibration, with meticulous tuning to elevate onboard comfort.
The T-spec variant embodies the GT-R’s philosophy of setting trends and maintaining traction. Drawing inspiration from the words “trend” and “traction,” the GT-R T-spec is engineered to consistently stay ahead of the curve and provide a driving experience marked by robust grip. The Nissan GT-R Premium Edition T-spec comes equipped with specially tuned suspension and carbon disc brakes, delivering the joy of a seamless ride coupled with responsive handling.
On the other hand, the Nissan GT-R NISMO pushes the boundaries by maximizing the utilization of racing technologies. This stands as the highest-performance GT-R to date through refined aerodynamics, fine-tuned suspension, and the addition of a mechanical limited-slip differential to the front final drive. The exclusive Recaro carbon back bucket seats have undergone refreshing for enhanced driving quality, fostering a unified connection with the car and an elevated level of comfort. The Nissan GT-R NISMO Special edition incorporates high-precision weight-balanced engine components, including piston rings, connecting rods, crankshaft, and a clear-coated NISMO-exclusive carbon engine hood adorned with NACA ducts.
